Finally, after two years of seemingly endless trailers and teasers, the fourth season of stranger things is almost there. For the first time since July 4, 2019, new episodes of stranger things are about to make their debut.
Even though it’s been three years in our time since we’ve seen Hawkins’ crew, it’s only been six months for them. And would you believe there are even more bizarre and gruesome supernatural shenanigans? This time they could lead to all-out war. (At least that’s what Paul Reiser says. And when Paul Reiser speaks, I always listen.)
Watch the new stranger things trailer below:
The cast of stranger things 4 includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Matthew Modine and Paul Reiser. As always, the series is overseen by the Duffer Brothers; Season 4 of stranger things will last nine episodes.
Here is the official synopsis for the season:
Six months have passed since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Grappling with the consequences, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made it any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a horrifying new supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, could finally bring an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.
stranger things returns with new episodes to Netflix on May 27. This will actually be the first part of a two-part season; the second batch of episodes (what they call “stranger things 4 volume 2”) will air on July 1.
